    Description

Beautiful, fully cosmetically and mechanically restored 1971 Honda CB750K1 Four motorcycle. This bike was previously owned by an executive at Honda Aviation. When it came time to restore the bike, his knowledge of and respect for the brand led him to have the bike painted as an homage to the Gold CB750K0 Sandcast prototype, (pictures of which can be found on the web.) That is why this bike wears Gold stripes on it's Candy Gold fuel tank instead of the original Black stripes; a paint scheme never offered by Honda.
The bike has been fully gone through cosmetically; frame and tins painted, fenders rechromed, engine covers polished. The steering head bearings and swing arm bushings have been replaced. The engine was removed from the frame and the top end freshened. The carbs were cleaned, kitted and the float levels set. The tank is clean inside and has not been sealed.
All parts on the bike, (with the exception of wear items) are original, NOS Honda or new Honda parts.  Having been restored a few years ago and ridden regularly, the bike is not a Trailer Queen and does have a few imperfections related to use. It retains it's complete, original HM300 exhaust which does show some light damage; both right pipes have tiny abrasions on the outer edge where the reverse megaphone turns in and the upper pipe has a small dent in the muffler. These likely occurred in moving the bike in tight quarters as there is no sign of the bike ever having been down. The rims are original and show signs of tire tool contact from tire changes over the 50 years this bike has been on the road. These issues should show up in the photographs and I'll happily provide detailed photos if requested.
The bike has just been fully, professionally serviced: camchain tensioner adjusted, valve clearances set, ignition points and timing set; carburetors set to spec and synchronized. It received new spark plugs, oil & filter and a battery at the time the service was performed.
The bike starts easily, idles smoothly and runs out strong in all 5 gears. The engine is very quiet at idle and delivers excellent throttle response. All electrical systems function properly. Brakes and suspension are state of the art for 1971.
There is a complete factory tool kit under the seat and of course a Clean, Clear Title. I can help arrange reasonable cost shipping nationwide, the cost to be borne entirely by the purchaser. I can be reached on 206-200-7014 with any questions.
