Description

The customer I built this bike for 6 years ago, mostly let it sit, he only put on 300 miles since the full nut and bolt restoration*.  He had the carbs rebuilt and powder coated. After that, I believe he let it sit for at least 3-4 years.  Gas was bad, tank was rusted on the inside, battery was dead and carbs were all full of gas that turned to varnish.  Chain had rust and some bolts that were not stainless rusted.
To get this baby back up to par, I had the tank blasted and lined, fully disassembled carbs, ultrasonic cleaned, all new seals and jets before putting them back together.  Jetted properly and synced. Swapped front fork lowers out for a fresh set of the longer version so I could install a new Tarozzi fork brace. Forks received new seals and Motul fluid.  Front brake fluid was flushed and new Motul 600 fluid added and replaced rubber diaphragm in master cylinder.  Took apart the front brake pads, cleaned and inspected, all good. Installed a new Magura clutch lever to match the master cylinder and replaced the black lever on the brake with a natural one.  Drained oil and put in new K&N oil filter with Motul 10w/40 oil. Adjusted valves, cleaned and gapped plugs and checked timing. New AGM battery.  Installed one of our new Big Mouth reverse cone mufflers and re-made the muffler bracket. Replaced all rusted hardware and installed a fresh set of Vans grips, pegs and a bar end mirror.
After a full detail, this bike shines like new again.  Clean California title and current registration good till September), ready to rock!  Save money here on this practically fresh build.  It would cost you k to duplicated this bike with me today, that is if I still built bikes!
Please understand, this bike was built 6 years ago, all though barely any miles have been put on it, it does have some scratches and shows signs of use.  We put 80 miles on it since we got it back up and running, it had no issues at all.  The Firestone tires look great but, if you want to go faster than 65 mph on the So. Cal. freeways, you would need to put on some better road tires. You are buying this bike in "as is" condition with no warranty.  Bike currently has no turn signals or a horn, but has the wiring in the harness to add them.  Bike also has tabs in the center of the frame for a leather bag we made for the original owner, but it was lost along the way when he owned it.
Bike is available for viewing anytime with a appointment, located in Long Beach Ca.
* Nut and bolt restoration 6 years ago: Every nut, bolt, spring, bracket, hanger, lever, strap, axles, and adjusters was re-zinc plated or re-chromed to proper OE finishes, cases split and all internals inspected for any wear or damage, new piston kits and fresh bore job, fresh valve job, new clutch kit(steel, fiber plates and springs), all new gaskets and oil seals. Motor painted a high temp black paint, all contrasting covers were powder coated gloss black and new stainless socket head bolts used on all covers, MAC 4 into 1 header and muffler.  Carburetors were fully disassembled and rebuilt with all new seals and jets, synced and tuned to perfection then topped with Uni pod filters.  Frame had all unnecessary tabs removed and rear frame hooped and battery relocation before it was powder coated gloss black. Swing arm, fork lowers, triples, wheels and all brackets were also powder coated (no spray paint was used on this bike!).  Front brake caliper rebuilt with new seal, fresh pads and the rotor was resurfaced and drilled for better stopping and cooling. Tapered head bearing conversion, new wheel bearings, new brass swing arm bushings were installed after coatings.  New fork tubes and fresh fork seals and dust boots.  Bike was wired from scratch with Dyna electronic ignition, new coils and wires, Rick's modern regulator/ rectifier, Lossa ignition(starts like a car, turn key to activate starter, let go when starts, turn off to kill bike and will only start if bike is in neutral), AGM drycell battery, Drag Specialties pod gauge.  All new control cables and brake lines, throttle, headlight, new petcock, chain, master cylinder, clutch lever, new shocks, Lossa clubman bars.  Paint is a brushed silver with a matte clear to mimic brushed bare metal and we used one of our large Lossa cafe seats and upholstered it in a brown leather.
