    The Apostle John wrote of those who would deny God the Father and God the Son, and named those people Antichrist.  The phrase caught on and has been used in the lyrics of the Sex Pistols, as part of the title of a Marilyn Manson album, and even the title of a Lars von Trier film!
    In popular culture such as the Omen films, the Antichrist is often conflated with the Beast that will rise out of the sea as foretold in Revelation.  It is not clear if this will turn out to be the actual case.  We'll just have to ask the Beast when he appears, won't we?  Could be any time now ...
