I bought them at an
estate sale
from the grandson of the original owner.  He said his grandfather whos name was
Will Wright
had a huge cattle ranch in South West Texas and was born around 1905.  The ranch was so big that later in life he used an airplane to check on his cattle.  He said his grandfather had these spurs custom made for him by a blacksmith in the 1930's. I have two spur collector books and have never seen another pair like this by Crockett.  Each spur is signed "CROCKETT" on the outside by the button. (Please see all photos).
I have NOT Cleaned these spurs or done anything to them.  They are as found.
The period straps are in nice used vintage condition with one buttonhole repair and believed to be original.
These all original, fine silver, SPURS
are a splendid example of the high quality, durable and
artistically
handcrafted spurs ever created.  The spurs are 6 3/4" in overall length with a 3" depth and a 3 1/8" heel band spread at
the boot entry point.  The heel band is about 6/8" wide.
These spurs have been used but remarkably well maintained.  They are all original without damage, modifications or repair.
Crockett made some of the highest quality and most durable cowboy tools ever produced.
with stationary upturned strap buttons, and a 8 point rowel that is 1 3/4" in diameter.  The hand engraved 90% fine silver overlay mountings consist of two hearts, a half moon, a neck band, a goose head, and heart strap buttons. LOTS of Silver!
