    Description

    This unusual interpretation of a bee has the right pose and the right stripes but it also has some extras:  a spray of small, delicate wings plus a whimsical nose detail that sort of looks like a plate of caviar.  The caviar, wings and alternating stripes are set with marcasites.   The pin weighs 7.69 grams and measures about 1-¼" tall and wide.  Standard bar pin closure.  Stamped "925," "SILVER" and "DK" (the maker's mark of a Thai jewelry manufacturer).  The condition is excellent; this is new old stock and has never been worn, other than by my lovely mannequin.
