Description
For your consideration is a great pair of old California spurs attributed to Hernadez. The spurs are mounted with nice silver work on one side and there are tooled designs in the steel on other. These great spur leathers have floral stamped leathers with high domed, card suite conchos. Research suggests there were five Hernandez who made bits and spurs which were sold through various retailers such as Visalia, Main and Winchester, F.M. Stern and L.D. Stone. They were rarely marked. Their work is of high quality and very collectible.MAKER: Unmarked but are attributed to Hernandez.
APPROX AGE: Late 1800s.
SIZE: Heel opening is 3-1/4 inches wide. Heel bands are 1/2 inches wide. Shanks are 3 inches long including the rowels.
CONDITION: Good for their age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
