Description
Here is a great pair of Canon City spurs for your consideration. They are single mounted with silver overlaid vine and leaf patterns that was so typical for Canon City prison bits and spurs. The also feature the rare "segmented" (oval and rectangular) shanks. Other features include chap guards and birds head shanks. They come with a pair of nicely stamped leather spur straps.MAKER:
Unmarked, but clearly Canyon City Prison made.
APPROX. AGE:
Circa 1930s - 1940s.
SIZE: The heel opening is approx. 2-7/8 inches. The heel bands are 3/4 inches wide and the shanks are 3-1/4 inches long (including the rowels).
CONDITION: Good for their age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
