Jerry Mahoney Ventriloquist Dummy Doll Puppet Figure (Used by Paul Winchell) Jerry Mahoney was Created by figure maker Jerry Layne and was molded off of the original figure used by Paul Winchell on his television shows and is the only replica authorized and licensed by Paul Winchell. This is not a toy but a full-size (42" tall) Professional Ventriloquist Figure. A hand-made, hand-painted figure that is completely authentic. This is a replica of the original Jerry Mahoney, made by Winchell's long-time friend, Jerry Layne.
HERE IS SOME HISTORY ON THIS AMAZING FIGURE:
Unlike most replicas, this one was made for several appearances by Paul Winchell. I can not confirm with any documentation. However, that is what was told by the 86 year old former owner who lived near Winchell and purchased this from one of his grandchildren.
Winchell used this Jerry for what I assume was a while before gifting it to one of his grandchildren.
The Estate also had a Knucklehead Smith that was also given to the same grandchildren and purchased by the same 86 year old owner. Winchell used Knucklehead at the same time with this Jerry and sold for .950.00 at auction.
The wig (which is glued to the head) has never been taken off or tampered with in any way. Jerry is the upgraded version because he has side-to-side eyes, a slot jaw, and full-shell blinkers. He stands 42″ tall and has 360-degree head rotation with a ball and socket neck. His head stick is wood. His body is also wooden. His suit is the original style 2-tone suit done to Mr. Winchell’s specification. Jerry’s wig is also made by Rene of Paris and was done for Winchell on special order. In my opinion, this is the best figure that Jerry Layne produced and that may be because Paul Winchell was a stickler on his product. These are a must for any collector of ventriloquist figures or television memorabilia. Figure features: Lever Controls: Wood Control Stick Ball and Socket Neck Naturally Shaped Body/Molded HandsJerry has moving eyes, shell blinkers, a beautiful wig (the same as the original Jerry now wears), and is dressed in a copy of the suit he wore in the '50s. Jerry is 100% ALL original and works perfectly.
Layne's handwriting inside the head, which reads "PAUL WINCHELL".

Jerry Is dressed in his classic 1950's suit with Polka Dot Bowtie Suit, and White Shoes! He has a Brown Bowtie and Brown Shoes that also comes with the purchase.
