Large Antique 1899s Iron Western Boot Spur Texas / Mexico

Description

This is a really neat, single antique spur that dates somewhere in the 1800s. It is a hand-forged large spur that probably came out of Texas or Mexico. It has an 8-pointed star that is in good condition. Still has the original buttons even though they are slightly different sizes. You can tell they have been on there a long time. The spur measures 6.5" long and 3-3/8" across. The star is 3" in diameter. It is quite heavy and weighs 14 oz. I can't give an exact date but I'd think mid-1800s.
