Description

the shiki800 was one of 3 schnabel cars built by nippon sharyo  for the major power transformer manufacturers of the japanese electrical industry.....first to be built, the 800 was constructed in 1973 and carried a 155 ton payload at 45 kph......when empty and collapsed, the wagon could travel at 75 kph weighed 67 tons.....the shiki800 lasted in service until 2019...........

i acquired this shiki800 set from a private party in japan who asserted that the set was in "unused".....on arrival, the set's pristine condition corroborated the owner's asseveration , and i even forwent my usual test run ......the only indication that the set was owned previously is the slightest abrasion on the edges of the outer sleeve of the bookcase storage packaging - probably the result of displaying the collection item for guests........a truly fine set.....
