Description
old Pair of nice engraved Star Steel Silver Western Cowboy SPURS with Leather Straps, see detailed photographs.
The rowels are five soft pointers that measure 1" 1/4" in diameter. The bands are nice and wide and almost measure 1 1/8" wide.
They have the makers mark Star Steel Silver which was originally found by German Immigrant August Buermann. The Buermann company was sold in 1926 to the three biggest spur makers, just a little history on the maker.
They come with nice thick leather straps, see detailed photograph for condition. The buckle is matching to the spurs and one strap is marked: Champion - Los Angeles Cal. - Turf. Both straps are in great condition! Opening for the boot measures 3 1/8" and overall length measures about 5 1/2". See detailed photographs for measurements.
These spurs will make a great addition to any collection! These are a part of a long time private collection, check in again and see what else I'll let go little by little. Thanks.
