Order of the Eastern Star Worthy Matron Journal notes 1944 Beach North Dakota 70

Description

Adelia Oech's 1944 journal as Worthy Matron in the North Dakota chapter #70 Order of the Eastern Star.  A rare find and interesting slice of history!
The journal itself is string bound with thick paper.  Some papers have come loose from binding as shown is photos.  Measures 9x11x1 inches and includes box which has some wear.
Inside are handwritten pages including memorabilia of programs, newspaper clippings, North Dakota meeting programs, notes, pin, napkin, etc.  Includes Installation address speech of becoming Worthy Matron, meeting notes and other scrapbook and memory pieces.  Notes date from November to November - the last meeting was a note that they did not meet.  There are blank pages at the end.
Also included is a letter dated January 24, 2000 demit - the closing of the Beach Chapter #70 as it was no longer able to function.
