LOU GRANT - THE TELEVISION SERIES. Original Shooting Script for an Episode ‘Wedding’ for the Television Series Lou Grant
. Los Angeles: MTM Productions, 1981. Original 43 page shooting script with color rewrite pages for an episode ‘Wedding’ for the television series Lou Grant, starring Edward Asner, based on his character from The Mary Tyler Moore Show. The script is signed by actor Parley Baer who played Dr. Carlton Stiefel on the show and has his annotations throughout. Bradbound in printed studio covers. The episode aired on November 2, 1981, Season 5, Episode 1 and co-starred Robert Walden, Linda Kelsey, Nancy Marchand, Mason Adams, and Jack Bannon. Very good copy with some minor dust soiling and a few tiny edge tears. The series Lou Grant is the third spin-off of the sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show and, unlike its predecessor, it was an hour long dramatic series instead of a half-hour sit com. It ran for 5 seasons from 1977 to 1982. Parley Baer (1914 - 2002) enjoyed a long career in both film and television and remains best known for being the voice of the original ‘Chester’ in the radio version of Gunsmoke and as Roy Stoner, the Mayor of Mayberry, on The Andy Griffith Show.
