    Description

This is a relic condition spur that was picked up near the Santa Fe Trail in Glorieta, New Mexico. It is made in the Spanish style used in the southwestern United States during the 1800's. This iron spur is the lighter than one might imagine, weighing just over two pounds. The heel band measures 3" across the opening, is 1 1/2" wide and approximately 1/16" thick. The neck measures 1 3/4" in length, 1/2" in width and is in a figure 8 pattern. The eight point rowel and pin are present and the rowel rotates freely. The leather strap is still on the spur, and the buckle to secure the strap is present. Both of the buttons to attach the straps are present. The outside of the heel band has been silver plated, but very little remains. Another great looking piece of South Western decor for your home or office.
