Vintage Custom Made Order of the Eastern Star Inlaid Marquetry Wood Plaque -1949

Description

This plaque was made as gifts to Conductress's of various OES in throughout USA in 1949. Several were made, one was currently found, sold in Cincinatti OH. This one came from an estate sale in SC, not sure if this is where it came from, but it's identical to the one just like it in OH.  Most of the plaques were smaller, around 6" square, this one is 12" square, very rare!  It was made of various exotic, inlaid woods by one of the members and presented to Conductress's at her installation. The wall hanging plaque is very finely made. Truly a work of art and a one-of-a-kind piece of Eastern Star memorabilia! I have only found one other one like this on Google and it is the smaller size. May need light cleaning per buyer, and is missing the hanger in back. I leave it up to buyer as to what kind of hardware if any they want to put on, or leave as is. Nice solid wood. One end on back has a bit of wood that is chipped, but could be easily fixed with a sealant. I like to leave any repairs, alterations to buyer, since some buyers like their items to remain as is in original condition
